GPEP Fellowships
The Global Political Economy Project (GPEP) at the Mortara Center for International Studies at Georgetown University sponsors pre-doctoral fellows each academic year. The Global Political Economy Project seeks to encourage innovative work by comparative and international political economy scholars that focuses on the ways in which global markets shape peoples’ lives and identifies how globalization might be harnessed for the greater good. Research might focus on markets and sustainability, social equity, power, digital technology, identity, and democracy, among others. Fellows will pursue their own research as well as participate in the broader activities of GPEP, which will include workshops on emerging topics in political economy as well as professional training and mentoring opportunities. This program is funded by the Open Society Foundations’ Economic Justice Program, The Board of Regents of Georgetown University, the Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues, and the Hewlett Foundation’s Economy and Society Initiative.
The application cycle for 2024-2025 GPEP pre-doctoral fellowships is now past. Please check back in January 2025 for information about GPEP fellowships for 2025-26.
